About the Author
Wilhelm Grimm (1786-1859) studied law in the early 1800s but became much better known as an accomplished and passionate storyteller and, with his brother Jacob, one of the Grimm Brothers, who gave the world the groundbreaking and fantastic collection of folklore, fairy stories, and fantasy tales we now call Grimm's Fairy Tales.

Hans Christian Andersen was a Danish fairy tale writer and poet who is most noted for his Fairy Tales, including the enduring children s stories The Snow Queen, The Little Mermaid, Thumbelina, and The Ugy Duckling. Through his youth Andersen worked as a weaver s apprentice and actor before turning to writing. Andersen s works have been translated into more than 150 languages and have inspired countless films, plays, and ballets. Although Andersen died in 1875, the anniversary of his birthday (June 2) continues to celebrated each year as International Children s Book Day.

Great old tales, wonderful illustrations

This Little Golden Book features five fairy tales: Rapunzel, Beauty and the Beast, Toads and Diamonds, The Twelve Dancing Princesses, and Wild Swans. The size is still the small Golden Book size. Because some of these stories were originally published as far back as 1954, the tales are pretty original (which I love)--but no worries, Rapunzel does not get pregnant out of wedlock! Four of the tales are illustrated by Gordon Laite, who was a wonderful illustrator, only now starting to be recognized as a true talent. I would buy any book with his pictures.

About the Author
Saul Delino is a self-published author born in Chelsea, West London, to West Indian parents.

After his initial education, he went on to train as an architect at DeMontfort University, Leicester, and South Bank University, London, achieving both BA (Hons) Architecture and Pg Dip Architecture, respectively.

On leaving university, the building recession forced him to pursue an alternative career in recruitment, which he did for a number of years before training as a fitness professional, becoming a personal trainer and, for a brief period, a life coach. Most recently, he has been employed in the property development and telecoms industries.

Since his 'light bulb moment' for the book that was to become Trespassers, he has indulged his passion for writing, determined to see his work published. In 2015, he set up Rubbanecka.com to showcase his urban vignettes and promote his books. Having written Trespassers, he turned his attention to creating the self-help writer's guide, Writing Fiction FFWD, to aid beginners struggling to get their novels off the ground. He has also written screenplays and published several works of poetry featured in different collections.

When not chained to his laptop, he enjoys reading fiction and non-fiction, especially self-help and personal development books. He also a music and film lover and is learning Spanish and French with a view to travelling. 

He currently lives in London.

Robert Doran is Associate Professor of French and Comparative Literature at the University of Rochester. He is the author of The Ethics of Theory (forthcoming) and the editor of three books: Philosophy of History after Hayden White (2013), Hayden White's The Fiction of Narrative (2010), and René Girard's Mimesis and Theory (2008).

This book was great I order it for my husband because he's an inspector for the county and this book prepared him for his builders license test and of course with this book help he passed it he only missed 1 question so he still received an a plus thank god for 6 author of this book

Good study tool

Purchased to study for building inspector exam. This is an effective way to prepare for the exam. However, we have discovered 2 errors in the workbook's answers. I recommend making sure the answers make sense, and looking up the code section to confirm answers.
