Not your typical ABC aviation picture book!

If your child is ready for an ABC concept book this might be a good selection. Both boys and girls are fascinated by airplanes and this book focuses on them. What makes it a bit unusual are the words the author uses to illustrate the letters. For example on one two page spread there is an aircraft carrier (C) and then the word "deck" (D). Next up is an illustration of a jet's engines (E) and a man hooking up a fuel line to the wing (F).
The aviation centered words here are not always the ones you would expect in a book like this but that's OK since the illustrations fit nicely and that's the big draw anyhow! "Different" is sometimes good and that's the case here!

Great alphabet book

This is a great alphabet book focusing on things related to flying! Definitely a nice change of pace from the bunches of ABC animal books there are. The pictures are bold and fun and have lots of movement. Some of the words are strictly the object (i.e. H is for helicopter) while others prompt a quick history lesson (i.e. K is for Kitty Hawk) or math lesson (X is for x-axis).
Great option for any child with an interest in things that go/fly, since in addition to learning the alphabet, they will be curious as to what the words are and how they relate to flying!

This is the cutest book for little ones! The flying theme for all the ABC's is fun, the pictures are super cute, and the choices for each letter aren't expected. I bought several to give for gifts.
